Each region in Sundered contains a wide variety of standard enemies that impede Eshe's progress. They are frequently exchanged for stronger variants as she enters more advanced areas. Enemies are summoned in hordes that randomly spawn over time, with each horde having a different enemy composition depending on the room. In endless horde zones, the zone's enemies constantly spawn until Eshe is out of the area.

After corrupting one of Eshe's abilities, phantom copies of enemies will occasionally be present in hordes. They will inflict damage but die instantly upon taking a hit.

Enemy Levels[ | ]

In some areas of the game, enemies may come with either a Dea', Tlx', Nox', Lith' or Noth' prefix. They indicate stronger variants of said enemy in ascending order.

Lith' enemies are usually denoted by an orange coloration and rarely spawn in normal hordes, but are guaranteed to appear in Corrupted Treasure challenge fights. They always drop a Perk unless the Corrupted Treasure also contains one, although both can reward a perk as well.

Nox' enemies are encountered in the hordes in The Nether, just before facing the final boss of the route, as well as in some ability mask rooms and in the fight against the Magnate of the Gong. When the Eradicator perk is equipped, all non-Lith enemies are converted into Nox' variants, while Lith' enemies become Noth' variants.

Valkyrie Camp[ | ]

Aranea[ | ]

Aranea are small enemies that move by walking across the ground and up walls. They attack by engulfing themselves in damaging electricity and charging a short distance to Eshe, but only if they are on the ground.

Aranea can spawn in both indoor and outdoor areas of the Valkyrie Base.

Meteoroid[ | ]

Meteroids appear to be small robots covered in some sort of moss. They passively hover around Eshe while not attacking and can go through walls in this state. When one is ready to attack, it will spin in place with a star-shaped trail around it before charging at Eshe's direction. Once it hits a solid surface, it causes area damage at the point of impact and stays still for a few seconds before hovering again.

Meteroids are encountered in almost any area of the Valkyrie Base. Dea' variants charge twice while Tlx' and Nox' variants thrice at Eshe, changing direction each charge, until halting.

Wurm[ | ]

Wurms are slug-like enemies that slowly slide on the ground. At random, they will tunnel underground and emerge at a different point on the same surface, indicated by a circle of sparks. Upon emerging, it leaps into the sky and back down again while phasing through walls. On impact with the ground, the Wurm inflicts area damage and begins slithering again shortly after. Wurms spawn in outdoor areas of the Valkyrie Camp.

Lith' and Noth' Wurms have a much wider area damage upon landing. Their front is electrically active and will inflict contact damage to Eshe.

Hunter[ | ]

Hunters are robotic enemies that spawn in indoor and outdoor areas of the Valkyrie Camp. They are completely stationary and fire a straight laser beam that passes through walls, which is indicated with a red line and arrows. If Eshe is next to it, the Hunter will coil into a defense mode with a shield, which is reverted once she is at a distance away. Dea' variants and above will periodically emit a damaging blast while coiled.

Tlx' Hunters can be encountered in The Pit endless hordes zone.

Panzer[ | ]

Panzers are robotic enemies that float close to Eshe, similar to the Meteroid. They attack by dashing and slashing at Eshe, which is indicated by their blades being crossed.

Tlx' Panzers are sometimes encountered in The Cathedral.

Holy City of the Eschaton[ | ]

Crawler[ | ]

Crawlers are medium-sized enemies resembling a masked figure in a grey cloak. They rapidly move towards Eshe, including up walls, and attack by lunging towards her with a set of circular teeth.

Screamer[ | ]

Screamers are medium-sized enemies resembling a large maggot with bat wings. They attack by firing a flame-like projectile that can pass through walls.

Devourer[ | ]

Devourers are large enemies that primarily move by teleporting close to Eshe. After teleporting, they can either raise their head to slash at Eshe or sweep both sides with its tentacles, dealing large amounts of damage and knockback. They commonly spawn in areas past the Prayer Grounds.

Cultist[ | ]

Cultists are large enemies resembling masked, robed figures. They slowly move on the ground and stay still to attack, either by casting a delayed explosion close to Eshe's location or by summoning Corrupted Walls that behave as destroyable surfaces that impede her. Unlike other enemies, all but one point of a Cultist's health is in the form of shield.

Tlx' Cultists can be encountered in some areas of The Cathedral.

Sentinel[ | ]

Sentinels are robotic enemies carrying a shield. They primarily walk or float up to Eshe and fire their gun to attack, dealing damage if she is in front of it.

Abberation[ | ]

Abberations are enemies resembling a flat hole with lots of masks coming out of it. They are stationary, but can grapple to another surface randomly. When attacking, they release three homing projectiles that aim at Eshe if she is nearby. Dea' variants and above fire sets of five projectiles instead.

Notoctus[ | ]

The Notoctus is a large, stationary enemy resembling a spheroid with spines on it. At a distance, it will launch a series of straight thorny vines that damage Eshe on contact and pass through walls, each of which is telegraphed with a beam-like indicator. If Eshe is directly in contact with the Notoctus where she can avoid all vines, the Notoctus will wrap thorns around itself and inflict contact damage instead, before resuming to its ranged attacks.

Medusozoa[ | ]

The Medusozoa is a massive enemy resembling a jellyfish, with a bumpy, spherical head and an eye-like screen with a crosshair. It floats close to Eshe and charges up a massive continuous beam, which damages her if she is caught in it. The beam is able to pass through walls but rotates very slowly. When the attack is almost ready, the head and "eye" of the Medusozoa become bright red.
