These are the Abilities in Sundered:
Valkyrie Abilities[ | ]
Throughout the world, there are seven Ability Shrines containing devices left behind by the Valkyries, which the player can discover and use to gain abilities for combat and movement. These abilities are necessary in order to proceed throughout the world. Abilities can be corrupted using Elder Shards, empowering them with greater ultility and strength.
The standard abilities are as follows:
Deflecting Shield[ | ]
Protects you from incoming damage. Slowly regenerates if no damage is taken over time.

Leaping Device[ | ]
Grants a second jump while airborne.

- The jump is replenished upon striking an enemy or touching the ground.
Valkyrie Cannon[ | ]
A powerful weapon, with tremendous recoil. Its bullets pierce enemies and obstacles.

- The cannon has a short delay before firing.
- Obtaining this ability unlocks the ammo counter and ammo drops.
Strength Amplifier[ | ]
A charged melee attack of colossal strength that annihilates obstacles and enemies.

Propulsion Engine[ | ]
A lightning-fast dash that can be used while airborne.

Gravitational Boots[ | ]
Climb up walls from a running start.

Latch onto hooks or enemies to violently propel yourself into the air.

- Grapple anchors will light up when nearby.
- The chosen hook target is the closest one in Eshe's direction, which can be changed with movement keys.
Elder Shards[ | ]
As the player navigates through the world, they will encounter Bosses and Minibosses. Bosses drop a full Elder Shard upon defeat, while Minibosses drop Elder Shard Fragments. Three Fragments are needed to create an Elder Shard. There is also a hidden fragment in each region of the game. Seven Elder Shards can be acquired in total, three from Bosses, three more from Minibosses, and one from the hidden Fragments.
Players can Resist by destroying the Shards in the Incinerator, opening new paths to powerful Abilities in The Trapezohedron's Tree by doing so, or Embrace by taking the Shards to Ability Shrines to corrupt the Abilities into stronger, Eldritch versions.
Corrupted Abilities[ | ]
Corrupting Abilities, or Embracing, grants the abilities powerful new utility and strength, at the cost of an Elder Shard. Corrupting all seven abilities grants the player the Embrace Achievement.
Mi-Go Shield[ | ]
Absorbs damage, which is then reflected upon your enemies.

Z'Toggua's Wings[ | ]
Gives you the power to glide while airborne.

Armageddon[ | ]
A charged beam of eldritch energy. Its blaze pierces everything.

Ghatanothoa's Strength[ | ]
A heavy melee attack that can be charged longer to smash your enemies with the force of the Elder Gods.

Azathoth's Breath[ | ]
An eldritch dash in any direction that can be used while airborne.

Atlach-Nacha's Grip[ | ]
Morphs you into a eight legged beast, gifting you the ability to navigate walls more freely.

Eldritch Pull[ | ]
Latch onto hooks or enemies to violently propel yourself into the air. A second explosion propels you further.

Otaloth's Demise[ | ]
Rolling on the ground damages your enemies.

Chol's Despair[ | ]
Combo attacks deal extra damage.

Melee Critical Hits extend further and deal extra Damage.

Your downward air attacks deal extra Damage.

Extra perk slot.

Grants a third jump while airborne.

The Purifier[ | ]
Drastically increases the Cannon's Damage.

Additional Abilities[ | ]
Four extra abilities can be found and unlocked around the map, regardless of Embrace / Resist decisions. They can be unlocked either by solving puzzles or making your way through an area.
All of them are denoted on the map using by the following image, except for the Stinger ability.
Stinger[ | ]
Attack immediately after rolling to perform a powerful forward lunge.
Unlocked by discovering the Corrupted Remains, which is in The Pit, an endless horde zone.
Negotiator[ | ]
The cost of every upgrade has been reduced by 20%.
Found in the Treasury of the Valkyrie Base.
Warlord[ | ]
Your Finishers' area of effect is now 50% larger and their damage has increased.
Found in Kht'aetag Vehtaglw', Eschaton's Bethel, which can be found in the area on the map above the main boss in the Holy City.
Negator[ | ]
You are now immune to the wind's pushing power and take 20% reduced damage from environment obstacles.
Found in Ht'ae lifh Vehsh, the Hall of Bells, which is directly to the left of the top level of the elevator.
